Friday, August 27, 2010. St. Michael’s will host an evening of celebration for the entire West Hawaii Vicariate. You are all invited to attend, along with parishioners from Annunciation—Waimea; Our Lady of Lourdes—Honoka’a; Sacred Heart—Hawi; and St. Benedict’s/St. John’s. The event will be held at the Old Airport Pavilion in Kona.
Dinner will be served between 5pm and 6pm. St. Michael’s Parish is handling the meal. All you need to bring is your appetite.
At 6pm, Bishop Larry will give the Invocation and the With Grateful Hearts Concert will begin. The entertainers will be the priests, sisters, and brothers of the Diocese of Honolulu. Even Bishop Larry sings. The purpose of the Concert is twofold: to entertain, and to encourage new vocations to the priesthood and religious life from our Diocese.
During an intermission in the Concert, Bishop Larry will present awards for service in ministry to individuals from each parish who have been selected by the Pastoral Councils or their Pastor to be honored. These individu als are Living Treasures of the West Hawaii Vicari ate. The Concert will continue after the Living Treas ures are honored. |
