Dedication
North Kona’s Catholic Heritage...remembered is the work of St. Michael’s very gifted Heritage Committee. Tony Ambut, Allie Bennett-Moran, Susan Bender, Mary and Frank Constantino, Don Gomez, Kalani Hamm, Melvine Kuali’i, Jack Ingram, Gail Souza-Save and Joyce Trask researched history, collected and identified pictures, talked to parishioners and former parishioners, contacted archivists, conducted and videotaped interviews. Fern Gavelek led the book project, wrote the copy and coordinated the book production with the printer. Walter N. Bacxa designed the book layout.
