Two recurrent questions I am asked are: when we will break ground for the new Church and where will we worship during construction? In the past year, I have learned that predicting specific dates is an inexact science. Therefore, I will answer both questions by saying, “Soon.” All along there have been delays, which could not have been foreseen. Bureaucracy has a way of slowing things down, but rest assured that we will be there soon.

By virtue of our Baptism, we are all called to participate in building the Body of Christ in some way. At the present time, we are looking for individuals who are interested in being a part of the Liturgical Ministry at St. Michael’s or one of the mission Churches. Please consider whether you may be called to this. You will find forms at the table outside the Churches today. There will be a training session next Saturday, Feb. 18th.

Our three catechumens are preparing for the Rite of Election at the end of this month. On Sunday, February 26th, they will travel to Waimea to join catechumens from East and West Hawaii. I would ask your prayers for them as they prepare to enter the final period of preparation for Baptism.

Thank you for your presence here today.

Peace in Christ,
